What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

This person will lead the entire Sales groups for Building Automation, Connected Devices and Software for the Building Products Business Unit comprised of a large and growing business with HVAC, lighting, IoT devices and software – from building automation, building software, cloud platform Building X, sensors and thermostats to KNX room controls and valves, dampers & actuators. You will lead multiple channels with dedicated sales leaders to increase product market share.

You will be part of a bolder growth plan. You will have the opportunity to elevate the business and sales organization and shape it for the future with Building Products and Smart Infrastructure. Furthermore, you will act as sales champion for BP Americas for process, tools, and strategies for the indirect sales channels across BP AM.

Role Description:

  • Defines and ensures implementation of sales strategy, policies and guidelines, in line with the overall business strategy of BP in the US

  • Sets and monitors sales targets according to overall BP country targets.

  • Ensures accomplishment of strategic market research and key customer surveys to identify respective strategic business opportunities and growth programs, esp. around Xcelerator and SW business (e.g. Building X)

  • Defines key markets and supports definition and identification of key customers in the assigned area of responsibility. Drives and monitors key market development programs.

  • Leads the overall process, tools and sales strategies together with BU head, Business Segments Global Sales organization and Smart Infrastructure Sales in the US

  • Ensures effective sales setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within and across Siemens units (i.e. aligned setups, aligned processes, aligned incentive schemes, etc.)

  • Ensures an effective sales organization and infrastructure to foster cooperation with other parts of the value chain and within SI Sales

  • Agrees on subordinated function related budget plans and sets and monitors achievement of respective targets.

  • Heads overall assigned sales organization and leads all related management and staff. Leads an organization of managers.

  • Develops team and individual people to personal and business growth

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10+ years of sales and management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct personnel toward achievement of a common goal.

  • Proven sales strategies and managing multichannel organizations

  • Knowledge of industry with Building Automation

  • Account Management and Business Development experience

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A leader who understands and practices employee engagement as a method to advance change and ensure continuous improvement.

  • Experience working for RSS RAM or a multichannel organization is a plus

  • Excellent relationship building skills and collaboration skills

  • Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills

  • Strong customer orientation

  • The pay range for this position is $170,000 – $230,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
