Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CNC Lathe Operator to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring high-quality production standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking to contribute their expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for production and experimental runs.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.

  • Edit and adjust CNC programs using machine consoles to optimize performance.

  • Monitor tool wear and perform necessary adjustments during machining cycles.

  • Perform inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

  • Pre-set tools and perform deburring or other related operations as cycle times allow.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

  • Solid understanding of blueprint interpretation and mechanical processes.

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC mills and lathes.

  • Knowledge of cutting tools and their applications, with a focus on tool wear monitoring.

  • Ability to perform machine changeovers and ensure smooth production flows.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.

Additional Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of CNC operation experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • A reliable work history and strong commitment to safety and quality.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Experience Level: Intermediate
