Brief Job Description
Assist with laboratory sections of biology courses; prepare materials; set up labs, deliver introductory remarks, administer and grade lab quizzes and lab notebooks; assist students with lab and lecture portions of course; hold office hours. There is one position available.
Required Qualifications
Full-time matriculated graduate student (6 credit hours or more) in good standing at Buffalo State (minimum GPA 3.0); must have a least 48 credits of college math and science courses; including a minimum of 18 hours in biology; must be able to effectively communicate with undergraduate students through the delivery of pre-lab presentations and classroom discussions, and in conversations during laboratory sessions and required office hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Accepted or currently enrolled in the Biology MA program at Buffalo State, additional upper-division coursework in biology or related field; demonstrated ability to succeed in biology as evidenced by transcripts, letter of application, prior research and teaching experience, past and present quality of coursework, and letters of recommendation. Preference will be given to applicants admitted to the thesis track.
