Delaware North HR Helpdesk Specialist in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a full-time Human Resources Helpdesk Specialist to join our corporate team in Buffalo, New York. As an HR Helpdesk Specialist, you'll be a part of our Associate Service Center team as the first point of contact providing exceptional customer service to callers surrounding HR, payroll, and benefit-related inquiries.

Minimum pay rate: $20.00 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and confidential HR Helpdesk support to callers utilizing case management tools.

  • Research and resolve tier one cases in a proactive, sensitive, and associate-focused manner while meeting department service level agreements.

  • Escalate cases to the appropriate team in accordance with HR Shared Services policy and procedures.

  • Learn and use HR systems to respond to caller needs and inquiries.

  • Refer current and retired associates to HR self-service technology, outside vendors, or other resources as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a related role required. HR internship with strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills may be considered in lieu of work experience.

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

  • Strong time management, prioritization, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • The ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures including customer service principles and practices.

  • Experience with HR, payroll and time-keeping systems is preferred.

  • Must be able to work shifts between the hours of 8:30am - 8pm Monday-Friday and a Saturday/Sunday rotation from 9am - 5:30pm.
