Job Summary

Plan, direct and control activities of all manufacturing functions to accomplish Nissha Medical Technologies mission and strategic plan. Direct Manufacturing Production Operations and function as a member of the Manufacturing staff. Achieve manufacturing objectives for quality, productivity and service through appropriate incremental process improvements or re-engineering techniques as appropriate. Understand and adhere to the ISO 9001 Quality Procedure as it applies to the area(s) managed without sacrificing the management of change. Identify where training is needed to develop the people in areas of responsibility and line up the necessary resources to ensure that training is completed on a timely basis.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Participate in development and communication of Company's mission, strategic plans and budgets.

  2. Meet or exceed all plans and budgets.

  3. Ensure proper equipment maintenance as related to safety, productivity, quality and service by leading the development and implementation of appropriate P.M. procedures and documentation to verify conformance.

  4. Conduct periodic internal audits to verify conformance to ISO 9001 policy, procedures and mandates. Take timely and appropriate corrective action to satisfy deviations found in audits.

  5. Develop and implement training programs to upgrade the skills of department associates, particularly those in entry-level positions.

  6. Work closely with assigned quality assurance technicians in areas to ensure that quality products are produced on a consistent basis.

  7. Determine staffing requirements weekly and re-deploy resources during the week as needed to address any shifting manning needs or changes in priorities and scheduling.

  8. Using TQM principles, form teams and involve people to improve productivity, decrease lead times and attain customer quality requirements.

  9. Include safety considerations in monthly department meetings to raise awareness of people to perform their tasks in a consistently safe manner. Make sure that all safety rules are followed, accompanied by good housekeeping complemented by supervision of Utility people.

  10. Work with Marketing to bring new product to marketplace. Continue involvement after product introductions to achieve subsequent cost reductions such as packaging changes which will not adversely affect package shipment integrity.

  11. Develop annual expense budgets which accurately reflect costs and potential cost reductions in the future.

  12. Using MRS, monitor assigned area(s) expenses, material usage and individual performance. Take corrective action as required.

  13. Recommend and initiate cost reduction programs centered around capital improvements where ROI and pay back criteria are favorable.

  14. Manage operating budgets in assigned area(s) of responsibility and ensure that expenses are incurred at acceptable levels and be prepared to explain any variances along with appropriate corrective actions.

  15. Develop, implement and improve all shop floor paper and manage individual entries so that data integrity is preserved.

  16. Develop specifications and process capability criteria as required by working closely with Tech Services, Marketing and Development Engineering.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree

  • Five to ten (5-10) years related production experience

  • Experienced in GMP, MRP, Kaizan, TQM and ISO 9001 policies and procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Team-oriented management style with demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills

  • Good planning and problem-solving skills with proven track record in achieving results through or with other team members

  • Capable of communicating and working with people at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to read and understand financial accounting and manufacturing performance reports

  • Demonstrated innovation, creativity and decision-making abilities

  • Flexible in relations with others and in the management of continuous change

Starting salary range of $65-85k with a comprehensive benefits package.
