Power-Flo Technologies Outside Sales Account Manager in Buffalo, New York

Power-Flo Technologies Buffalo is looking for an Outside Sales Account Manager to guide our customers through selection of electrical products and process automation solutions.

    Base Salary Range of $50,000 - $95,000/year (commensurate with experience) + commission package

    Outside Sales Account Manager Responsibilities

  • The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for all sales of all products and services within the assigned territory (and/or within assigned accounts)

  • Generate and develop new business to increase revenue, through prospecting activities, including cold calling

  • Schedule outside appointments with existing customers to review applications requirements, and uncover new opportunities

  • Maintain the company’s existing relationships and actively seeks out new clients

  • Effectively liaison between the company and customers for all ongoing account management activities including; quotations, pricing, delivery, technical support, service and new product releases

  • Establish and maintain up to date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by successfully completing all training activities as needed

  • Consistently meet in person with target buyers

  • Determine customer requirements in order to recommend specific products, solutions, or services

  • Utilize marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness

  • Introduce new products to existing customers

  • Vigorously seek prospective new accounts employing standard sales methods

  • Target Account Planning and Execution

  • Organize joint sale calls with vendors.

  • Provide timely solutions to customer queries

  • Prepare and execute effective sales presentations and demonstrations of products

  • Customer quotations

  • Maintain liaison with other departments for order completion and timely shipment

  • Engage customers in promotional activities

  • Maintain expense and call reporting

  • Involvement of and travel with vendor salespeople in assigned accounts and territory

  • Utilization of vendor resources for account penetration and sales growth

  • Annual sales forecast and execution

  • Attend conferences and trade shows

  • Perform all administrative aspects of the position, including: Sales / Opportunity reports, Maintenance of customer accounts including contact names and information, Expense accounts

  • All other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Outside Sales Account Manager Requirements

  • At least 2 years of business to business sales experience

  • Minimum three (3) years demonstrated sales success and technical knowledge of industrial control and automation applications, products, and services

  • Desire to grow business through outside sales appointments

  • Track record of success and achievement as a sales representative

  • Consistently identify new sources of business

  • Maintain high productivity and standards

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

  • Strong technical aptitude of products

  • Commitment to quality

  • Valid Driver's License to travel to customers
