Key Responsibilities
Communicating company Process Safety Management vision, expectations, strategies, and initiatives to BRL personnel
Ensuring each area has prioritized (risk-based), actionable strategies and that effective metrics are utilized to monitor progress and performance
Challenging and coaching BRL resources on current process safety culture, commitment, ownership, risk tolerance, practices, and conditions
Acting as a technical engineering leader in manufacturing processes
Studying and understanding the manufacturing processes
Acting as a safety champion, leader, and mentor to assure team understanding and buy-in through observation, questioning, and discussion
Coaching, developing, and evaluating performance of BRL resources identified as compliance standard owners in areas of risk and compliance decision-making, management system development/improvement, and project management
Developing and using risk assessment methods and tools for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards. Managing and assisting with the mitigation of identified gaps, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities
Assessing and improving employee ability to identify and manage risk, and to flawlessly execute critical safe work practices
Managing processes in place to effectively meet compliance requirements
Facilitating the development and use of effective training, change management, incident investigation, and self-assessment processes
Coordinating efforts in process safety with all capabilities.
Possessing a working knowledge of OSHA, PSM and RMP, GIP, MOC, PHA, PSI, MI, PSSR, etc.
Seeking out and facilitating knowledge sharing opportunities (e. g., risks, best practices, common audit findings, lessons learned)
Foster peer communication and interaction between groups
Managing, tracking, and reporting issues, initiatives/projects, incidents, assessments/audits, and safety performance for facility
“The annual base salary range for this position is $92,000 - $138,000.. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.”
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years' experience working in a chemical plant or research and development setting
WE VALUE
• Process Engineering, Technical or Process Safety Management experience in an industrial chemical or related facility
• Knowledge/experience with release and fire modeling (PHAST;SaferTrace)
• MS or P.E., or demonstrated progress towards achievement
• Experience leading culture change and developing/implementing management systems
• The ability to work as part of a team
