Position Summary:

The Research Technician I position will support the research program of Professor Dr. Jae Lee (https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/biological-sciences/faculty/faculty-directory/jae-w-lee.html) in the Department of Biological Sciences (https://arts-sciences.buffalo.edu/biological-sciences.html) . Projects will focus on discovery of key genes or factors pertaining to neurodevelopmental processes.

Investigation and examination tasks within the predetermined research scope or methodology may include:

  • Engagement in research activities

  • Evaluation of theories and principles

  • Performing technical tasks associated with research activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional knowledge/education of the disciplinary field and the ability to relate knowledge to various phenomena under study.

  • Requires education in a specific field and at least one year of experience directly related to the research or the program.

  • Requires fundamental knowledge of scientific, medical or other disciplinary terminology and associated mathematical competence.

  • Proven ability to apply the theory, concepts and principles in the field of study or discipline.
