Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity to work as a Standardized Patient Educator in the Clinical Competency Center is available at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. As a Standardized Patient Educator, you will gain expertise in the use of standardized patients and teaching associate methodology for educational and assessment purposes. In this role, you will:
Utilize a working database of clinical cases, standardized patients, and clinicians involved in clinical assessment.
Recruit and train standardized patients for the purposes of assessment and teaching.
Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of clinical assessment evaluations.
Develop and modify standardized patient cases and assessment tools such as checklists, patient perception surveys, and post station notes.
Provide feedback to both individual students and faculty on exam performance.
