Insight Global Collections Supervisor in Buford, Georgia

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Collections Manager/supervisor to sit onsite in the Buford, GA area. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong B2B collections management background, SAP/Salesforce experience a plus, computer savvy (able to quickly navigate through various programs, portals and systems), Microsoft Excel (vlookup) and word processing skills, Associates/Bachelors degree a plus (but not required). Is a supportive, flexible and collaborative leader/team player with negotiation skills, works with urgency, a continuous improvement mindset, eager to learn and catches on quickly!

Job Description:

  • Oversee the collections team to ensure adherence to the departmental code of conduct, maintaining ethical standards and fostering a positive work environment.

  • Provide coaching, development, and leadership to direct reports, driving continuous improvement and the achievement of collections goals and organizational initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain collections policies, training materials, and departmental standards, ensuring they are up-to-date and effectively implemented.

  • Participate in collections calls and outreach efforts to secure payment status updates on outstanding invoices.

  • Monitor aging reports and assigned accounts regularly, ensuring that weekly call lists are created, distributed, and completed by collectors to expedite payment on overdue balances.

  • Supply customers with necessary documentation such as invoices and statements, addressing any service objections to facilitate payment resolution.

  • Process customer payments, including credit card and ACH transactions, and provide banking information for payment remittance, negotiating settlements and payment plans within company guidelines.

  • Support SaaS implementations, ERP conversions, and contribute to transformational strategies within the collections department.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, collection efforts, payment statuses, and follow-up actions.

  • Manage service-related issues such as shipping, quality, warranty (RMA) concerns, and customer inquiries, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Handle credit requests, oversee activities workflows, and monitor the accounting inbox for efficient credit facilitation.

  • Manage communications and ticket creation through customer portals, ensuring all necessary actions are taken for effective account management.

  • Provide backup support for accounting functions, including customer invoicing, vendor setup, AP processing, and training of new associates, along with other related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$30/hr to $40/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ experience in collections or billing

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with at least 1 year of management

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

  • Strong Excel skills null
