Dates of need are 5/21/2024-11/30/2024. This order is for work in Caldwell, Idaho area. This application encompasses general farm labor on a fruit ranch, including spraying and irrigation. This job requires a minimum of three (3) months of general farm labor. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. Workers job duties may require split shifts (e.g., 5:00 am to 10:00am and 5:00pm to 8:00pm), as well as night shifts due to crop demands. Work hours may vary where there are periods when extra hours are offered and periods of reduced hours are available due to weather, crop conditions, and time of year. The anticipated hours listed represent the normal work schedule. Due to the nature of these crops, weather, and the requirement to send crops to customers when needed, it is the prevailing practice to work more or different hours than those listed. A worker may be offered more than the specified hours of work; however, the worker will not be required to work for more than the number of hours specified in the job order, or on the workers Sabbath or Federal holidays. Saturday work may be required. Workday start times vary depending on the weather. depending on the time of year, hours of daylight, and production requirements. Workers must be able to work varying shifts as required by the season and work performed. Workers are notified of any change in the start times. Work may be performed during rain, light snow, cold, freezing temperatures and/or in high humidity and in temperatures over a 100 degrees Worker may be required to work in fields when crops are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions.

General Farm Work will include the following duties:\ Workers may also:\ 1.Clear debris and garbage from fields and orchards, structures, equipment, and work areas.\ 2.Remove old string and wire from trellis and orchard blocks, and other hand tasks.\ 3.Load and mix chemicals in addition to operating tractors pulling air blast sprayers (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable).\ 4.Maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements, tractors, equipment to cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops\ 5.Make mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery\ 6.Remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds\ 7.Remove rocks from fields, edges fields, etc.\ 8.Build, maintain, repair, farm structures.\ 9.Replace, repair fencing.\ 10.Operate motor bike, all-terrain vehicle (ATVs), John Deere Gators, while performing job duties.

Pruning Fruit\ The worker will hand prune trees and grape vines on a motorized platform, from the ground and/ or utilizing a ladder. The worker will utilize hand shears, hand loppers, hand saws and other equipment. The worker may be required to selectively prune trees of certain size and color as instructed by their supervisor. The worker will identify and remove stubs, broken branches, downward growing branches, branches which rub against each other, shaded interior branches, dead wood, shoots and suckers with various equipment. Also, prune for disease and fire blight. Workers may also operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation such as tractors, irrigation equipment and other commonly used equipment in agriculture. Workers may drive vehicles to transport equipment, crops, supplies, and farm workers if they possess a valid driver\'s license and are insurable.

Irrigation Duties:\ Hand Lines\ 1. Connect pipes.\ 2. Check the alignment of pipe and adjust for proper water distribution\ 3. Attach lines to water supply\ 4. Prime/Turn on pump\ 5. Turn valves to start flow of water\ 6. Disassemble lines and carry pipes across fields at specified intervals\ 7. Move pipes through freshly irrigated crop and/or lowed fields where mud may be deep at times\ 8. Lift and carry pipe sections weighing approximately 60 pounds on a sustained basis

Micro-Sprinklers\ 1. Inspect and clean filters and emitters on regular basis.\ 2. Flush the system to discharge debris.\ 3. Change location of emitters, if necessary\ 4. Change out emitters and unplug any clogged emitters.\ 5. Turn valves to start flow of water or shut off.\ Solid-set Handlines\ 1. Maintain, repair, or replace pipes\ 2. Check alignments and adjust as needed\ 3. Prime/Turn on pumps\ 4. Turn valves on and off for flow of water\ 5. Flush systems to discharge debris\ 6. Repair or replace birdies or sprinkler heads\ Other Irrigation Duties\ 1. Remove pipes from storage and lay out/place in predetermined patterns in fields\ 2. Lubricate, adjust, repair, and replace parts such as sprinkler heads and drive chains using hand tools\ 3. Observe sprinklers and adjust to ensure proper operation and uniform distribution of water\ 4. Disassemble, service, and st
