Labcorp Aircraft Mechanic Manager in Burlington, North Carolina

The Aircraft Mechanic Manager located in Burlington, NC will be viewed as an integral part of a dynamic and expanding Aviation leadership team and is responsible for facilitating and ensuring the success of the Aviation Mechanic Department of an IS-BAO Level III and Fortune 500 company.

This successful Manager will be responsible for demonstrating key leadership principles to drive successful team outcomes such as:

  • Ensuring compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements as well as NTSB and ISBAO standards by intentionally seeking and incorporating a variety of diverse perspectives to solve business challenges

  • Develops and manages the budget for aircraft maintenance operations

  • Ensuring timely project completion while advising the aircraft maintenance team

  • Coaching, leading and providing value-added feedback development opportunities for Aircraft maintenance team members

  • Overseeing the scheduling of aircraft repairs and maintenance.

Requirements

License/Certification/ Education:

  • Normally requires an Associate Degree, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred

  • FAA Aircraft and Power Plant Mechanics license, required

  • Inspectors Authorization (IA), required

  • In lieu of Associate Degree H. S. Diploma or GED equivalent with 12 years of experience as an A&P (Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic)

  • People leadership and management skills

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • 5 -- 7 years of Aircraft Maintenance experience

  • Proven People Leadership Skills with experience leading and coaching aviation team members

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven Interpersonal Communication skills

  • Financial acumen, specifically budgeting

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, however, hours may vary when needed, based on business.
