Description
Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager in the Burlington, NJ area. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves leading a team, optimizing processes, and providing financial insights to support effective decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.
Assign tasks and manage workload to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
Oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Review and approve payment runs, ensuring all payments are made on time and according to agreed terms.
Manage and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
Prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable metrics, including outstanding payables, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
