Job Title: Industrial Machinery Mechanic
Job Description
This position requires experience with diversified mechanical, electro-mechanical assembly, and sub-assembly units that are moderately complex. This role involves adjusting, fitting, and aligning to specific tolerances. A Heavy Assembler is a skilled craftsperson who can take raw materials like copper and stainless tubing along with various other parts and transform them into an induction coil, as required. We are specifically seeking candidates that have heavy industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.
Hard Skills
Basic math skills: subtracting, adding, dividing, working with fractions
Engineering/blueprint reading and interpretation
Using common hand tools
Trimming, filing, grinding, buffing, or smoothing surfaces, edges, or joints of assembled pieces using hand or power tools
Setting up and employing essential fixtures and assistance
Adapting tools to new applications or working without them as needed
Using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers to layout, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material in accordance with drawings or blueprints
Working from drawings and specifications
Inspecting and testing completed units by utilizing appropriate measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, scales, and gauges
Operating assembly machines
Knowledge of welding, plumbing, and hydraulics
Job Type
This is a permanent position.
Work Environment
Shop/manufacturing environment. Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (can start earlier or run later based on needs)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
