WATTS Inside Sales Manager in Burlington, Ontario

As the Inside Sales Manager, you will oversee the daily management of the Inside Sales & Customer Service staff, including successful achievement of departmental objectives and compliance with company and departmental policies. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will facilitate interdepartmental communications with other internal departments.

You Will:

  • Execute market strategy within the Greater Toronto Area to achieve sales targets.

  • Manage the Customer Service team, track key metrics, identify areas for improvement and productivity and implement productivity enhancing measures such as training, process optimization and performance goals.

  • Guide the pricing initiatives by collaborating with product management.

  • Attend trade shows and industry events to represent our products in the marketplace.

  • Create/maintain appropriate management of inside quoting process including job qualification, win/loss, and customer insight.

  • Partner with Sales, Account Management and Product Managers to ensure work is prioritized and resolve all reported Agent/customer related problems.

  • Communicate and monitor staff compliance with policies and procedures, recommend and implement actions to improve results.

  • Contribute to establishing departmental requirements, ensure that appropriate expense decisions are made and provide justification or support.

  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding and performance management. Lead and monitor training initiatives for CS team members.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (with preference for a Commerce or Communications Degree).

  • 3+ years of inside sales and/or customer service management experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in the Plumbing & Heating industry preferred with diversified product knowledge and level of understanding.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems.

  • Prior project management experience.

  • Bilingual preferred (English/French)

  • Direct reports: 5 – 10 (Customer Service and Inside Sales employees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Hybrid role (Focus days in office are Monday/Tuesday, additional in office time will be required periodically)

  • May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.

*OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel Required: Occasional trips to Distribution Centers, Sales Agents, Customers, and USA Offices – Up to 10% of time.
