Express Employment in Bellingham is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a dynamic manufacturing company in Skagit County. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, leading a team, providing expertise, conducting audits, completing electrical and mechanical projects, coordinating with leadership, and ensuring safe work practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in ISO 9001-certified environments, audit experience, robust project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a desire for career growth.

 

Pay: $32-$45 / HR, DOE- with scheduled pay increases Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 am-6:00 pm

Position Type: Direct Hire Location: Skagit County Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of seven maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate with the shift leadership team.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure effective use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Monitor and enforce completion of preventative maintenance (PM) and work orders.
  • Maintain production equipment and assist in managing electrical spare parts inventory.
  • Perform equipment repairs.
  • Install, set up, modify, and relocate equipment as needed.
  • Read and write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, as well as basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Adhere to LOCKOUT procedures for unsafe machines or those being serviced.
  • Follow work orders and preventive/predictive maintenance systems, completing required documentation and maintaining workplace organization.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all production equipment as required.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices and comply with company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Initiate and complete additional jobs, projects, and special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend improvements for health and safety.
  • Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components, including motors, contactors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.
