Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to work remotely in Vancouver Canada for a large AAA gaming company on a 12-month contract. You will be assisting the Data and Analytics team on a User-Generated Experiences (UGX) project. This is a highly collaborative role, particularly with data science and data architecture, as a machine learning based approach will be taken to generating data pipelines. Any experience with machine learning based pipelines or solutions would be a benefit. Your day to day will be taking User-Generated Content (UGC) and pipelining it back into the games. You will use the UGC, work with data science and data architecture, and together build processes and pipelines. Collaboration is key as you will work together to make sure the pipelines are operational as an internal solution. This is a small team of engineers you will be joining, so taking initiative, having great communication, and navigating complex situations will be required for success.

Skills and Requirements

- 3+ years experience working with SQL querying for cloud data warehousing solutions

- 3+ years experience programming in Python language to extract data and put into the warehouse

- 3+ years experience with Airflow

- Comfortable working across multiple different data environments (GCP or Snowflake a must)

- Highly collaborative, takes initiative, great communication, and can navigate complex situations - DBT experience

- Experience with machine learning based pipelines or solutions null
