A ServiceTech helps people and businesses recover after they've experienced property damage from a disaster. These ServiceTechs will work as a *Recovery Unit, *removing any unsalvageable parts of a structure, safely stabilize structures, sanitize areas, and ensure a buildings are dry, prepped and ready for repairs.

A ServiceMaster ServiceTech is responsible for working as part of their Recovery Unit to perform emergency restoration services while adhering to company policies and company trained procedures regarding remediation and mitigation.

ServiceTechs will be trained with a great understanding of safety, industry standards, and be able assist their *RecoveryUnit *in completing the mitigation process in a prompt and timely manner.

ServiceTechs are generally expected to be dependable, ambitious, have excellent communication skills, and are great at working as a team. ServiceTechs can expect to be dealing with customers that have lost part or all of their home or business, so experience in customer service and empathy is key.

While higher education isn't required, having certifications or training in safety, construction and management would help expedite a ServiceTechs rapid advancement.

Other qualifications and responsibilities might arise as deemed necessary by circumstances. A *ServiceTech *must be able to accommodate a compensated on-call schedule for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends.

*ServiceTech *Responsibilities

• Perform emergency service work for residential and commercial properties
• Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, packing customer's contents, general on-location demolition and cleaning of structures.
• Setup of emergency services equipment.
• Operate routinely used tools and equipment
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
• Warehouse maintenance, stock supplies, building maintenance
• Perform work at high elevations such as from a ladder and scaffolding
• Understanding / ability to read and complete work orders / job scope
• Able to work comfortably and safely at heights and in confined spaces
• All other duties as assigned
