Specialized Staffing and Industry Recruiters Assistant to the Estimator in Butler, Pennsylvania
SUMMARY This position is with a Glass Manufacturer in Butler, PA. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of metal parts such as bolts, hinges and handles. And an ability to assess structural soundness. The position involves talking to business customers and taking specifications for glass / metal doors. Using the pricing for each component, this person will calculate the cost of the door for the customer and issue an estimate.
This person will work in the office, but they will need to help with the assembly of the doors when production is busy. This person will work with an experienced Estimator and Fabricator.
You can choose to work 8:00 am -- 5:00 pm or 7:30 am -- 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Starting at $19.00 an hour -- the hourly pay will increase based on progress and performance. The company offers good employee benefits, bonuses, and rewards. Room for growth and advancement.
REQUIREMENTS • An understanding of metal parts and components like door handles, bolts and hinges. And how they fit together to be structurally sound • Can memorize large numbers of small part specifications • Ability to assist with the construction and assembly of doors when necessary • Good customer service and phone skills • Good data entry skills and ability to navigate in Windows • Good math, measuring, and spatial realization skills • Able to lift 45lbs • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
