Location: 850 76th Street S.W. - Byron Center, Michigan 49315 Job Description: Position Summary: The IT Procurement Analyst will report directly to the Sr. IT Procurement Manager and will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing procurement requests for technology spend at SpartanNash. This includes acquiring hardware, software, and professional services for IT driven initiatives. Here's what you'll do: * Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings. * Assist in establishing, implementing, and enforcing guidelines, and service level agreements to the organization. * Comply with purchasing policies and procedures, including those for hardware, software, and services in conjunction with department leads and department-specific requirements. * Interview, identify, and qualify potential new vendors or suppliers in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services. * Resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies. * Help define purchasing recommendations that support business goals, in collaboration with stakeholders. * Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors. * Work closely with legal and stakeholders to develop and execute new contracts or improve existing contracts. * Monitor vendor, service provider, outsourcer, and/or contractor performance to ensure quality of service. * Provide periodic oversight and execution of vendor requalification. * Establish and maintain written and in-person communications with stakeholders regarding pertinent sourcing activities. * Effectively communicate procurement strategies to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. * As needed, coordinate deliveries and installations * Assist in completing Purchase Orders, and coding invoices. Here's what you'll need: * Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Business Administration required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. * 2 years direct work experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity. * Familiarity with purchase management software. * General knowledge of accounting, finance and IT. * Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services. * Persuasive, and diplomatic. * Excellent planning skills, well organized. * Works well in a fast paced, challenging environment. * Problem solving and decision-making abilities. * Excellent communication skills a must. * Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel etc.) * Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. * Role can be based in Grand Rapids, MI, or Norfolk, VA.
