Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that clients receive the individual range of medical care and other comprehensive services necessary to optimize each client's substance use, mental health, and health outcomes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • It is responsible for the targeted evaluations of their substance abuse of all Project clients.

  • It is responsible for participating in the initial interview for the determination of needs and maintaining the social reports of each of the clients, carrying out evaluations of an emotional nature, self-esteem, independent living abilities, for the different necessary departments, making psychoactive history of the client

  • She gives individual and group therapies aimed at substance abuse and improves social and community skills.

  • Realization of treatment plans and collection of services performed on clients

  • Design plans that guide the client in achieving their goals.

  • It contributes to the development and increase of Well-being, involving the individual, group and community, as well as institutions and services related to the use and abuse of substances.

  • Participate with the Social Worker in the elaboration and development of the service plan.

  • It carries out visits to the penal institutions as required by the Program or Project.

  • Realiza reuniones de autoayuda, familia y pareja.

  • Review of records and compliance with eligibility documents in coordination with the Coordinator

  • In charge of all things support groups, client evaluation, and conducting substance abuse service activities on a daily basis.

  • Keeps the coordinator abreast of situations that occurred during their interventions.

  • Assess the needs of clients in conjunction with the team and others

  • Represents and accompanies in court and/or in an Arbitration Chamber.

  • Set new goals and objectives so that each client can develop a life plan and can reintegrate into the community by implementing the skills learned within the help center.

  • Help the customer eliminate harmful behaviors.

  • Keep notes in the service file, of interventions with customers.

  • Visit penal institutions according to the nature of the program or project.

  • Make work and statistical reports.

  • Perform drug tests.

  • Pursuant to Executive Order 2021-075 you must submit proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and pursuant to Order 2021-082 evidence of vaccine booster; or instead medical or religious exemption that meets the requirements set forth in the executive order, as well as negative PCR test or antigens every 7 days.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Social Work or Substance Abuse Counseling, if you are a Social Worker, you must have a valid license to practice as a Social Worker. Certification of having taken courses and training on the issue of addiction to drugs, alcohol and other related services. Bilingual, writing skills.
