Position Summary

An exciting opportunity exists in our Calgary, AB office for a Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

Reporting to the Manager, Global FP&A, the Financial Analyst, FP&A assists in the preparation of consolidated budget and forecasts.

Accountabilities

  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated budget and forecast reports provided to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast assumptions.

  • Support Longview system administration for forecast and budget time periods.

  • Support updates and maintenance of the Simplified model and propose changes to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Support updates of the Commodities Pricing models.

  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support Manager, Global FP&A with tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • University degree or college certificate in accounting.

  • Actively pursuing or hold a professional accounting designation.

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis team.

  • Minimum 2 years of financial accounting experience in a multi‐entity, multi‐currency environment.

  • Experience in the mining industry is considered an asset.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
