Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists in our Calgary, AB office for a Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Reporting to the Manager, Global FP&A, the Financial Analyst, FP&A assists in the preparation of consolidated budget and forecasts.
Accountabilities
Assist in the preparation of consolidated budget and forecast reports provided to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast assumptions.
Support Longview system administration for forecast and budget time periods.
Support updates and maintenance of the Simplified model and propose changes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Support updates of the Commodities Pricing models.
Support Financial Planning & Analysis continuous improvement initiatives.
Support Manager, Global FP&A with tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
University degree or college certificate in accounting.
Actively pursuing or hold a professional accounting designation.
Minimum 6 months experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis team.
Minimum 2 years of financial accounting experience in a multi‐entity, multi‐currency environment.
Experience in the mining industry is considered an asset.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
