Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Job Description
Our client is seeking a permanent Regional Sales Manager to join their team. The RSM will be overseeing the Industrial Sector within Western Canada. The role is divided between sales and business development, and technical design, training, and customer support. This role does require travel within Canada.
Responsibilities
Effectively achieve sales targets and business development objectives.
Provide distributor development and support, including conducting sales and training meetings, developing annual business plans, and delivering technical training to distributors.
Collaborate with management to create and execute the annual sales plan and budget.
Analyze the market and competitive landscape.
Develop the A&E market and contractors, building relationships with major A&E companies.
Identify new markets and propose new business opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing to create effective advertising, direct marketing campaigns, and tradeshows to generate sales leads.
Attend key sales events and tradeshows to support and identify opportunities.
Collaborate with product managers and key management to determine market needs, opportunities, and actions.
Work with GM/President to establish and maintain effective budgetary controls for sales-related initiatives and expenditures.
Formulate reliable annual and rolling sales forecasts for proper demand planning.
Use the CRM package to manage accounts and leads, create quotes, and initiate sales actions.
Conduct Lunch & Learns with engineers, laying out upcoming projects.
Essential Skills
2-5+ years of experience in B2B sales.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience within ventilation, filtration, HVAC, metal fabrication industry.
Must be able to drive/travel for work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable dealing with engineers/architects.
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
Understanding of engineering.
Business development oriented.
Organizational skills.
Ability to influence others internally/externally.
Work Environment
This is a remote role with no current office in Calgary. The role requires some travel, with the expectation that the RSM will be on the road meeting with customers and potential customers. The team consists of 5 salespeople in Canada, with additional support from customer service, engineering, and marketing teams. The sales team operates with flexible hours, focusing on performance.
