Qualus Drafting Technician III - Telecommunications in California

Position Overview

Power your Future as a Telecommunications Drafter! Join our team to create detailed drafting documents for Power Utility Telecom projects while collaborating with engineers to develop cutting-edge construction packages. With your expert-level Bentley MicroStation skills and industry experience, you'll work remotely, multitasking across various projects in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create drafting documents for highly technical engineering solutions in collaboration with engineers.

  • Develop detailed drafting documents to support the creation of construction packages for cross-functional projects.

  • Download native drawings and create documentation for IT Telecom projects using Bentley MicroStation, Adobe Pro, Visio, and Google Earth Pro.

  • Participate in a collaborative and supportive team environment while working remotely.

  • Update Telecom Interconnect drawings, LAN/WAN drawings, FDF's, AMPS containers, Tower drawings, RFEs, and DDL's with links.

Qualifications

  • Education, classes, and experience in engineering design.

  • 5+ years of Bentley MicroStation experience at an expert level.

  • 3+ years as a design drafter in the power or telecom industry.

  • Proven track record of success and delivering results.

  • Strong sense of methodology, process, and metrics in managing functions and working under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills conducive to team development.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Solid experience working with facilities, engineering, and systems administration teams.

  • Proficiency in using Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office suite.

  • Ability to pass a NERC level background check.
