In this role, the ideal candidate must be a self-directed, results orientated leader who understands how to be in service to the team. This includes responsibility and comprehensive management of the landfill operations. Overseeing personnel, recruitment, training, financial oversight (budgeting and P&L), and collaboration with local authorities to ensure environmental and contractual compliance.

  • Team Leadership: Leading a team, including selection, training, coaching, and developing.

  • Resource Management: Effectively oversee site assets and resources to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Process-oriented and results-oriented in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success, and marshaling resources to accomplish goals and objectives.

  • Operational Improvement: Analyze budget, actual and forecast performance to identify opportunities to enhance processes, changes procedures, and modify behaviors to improve performance and get results.

  • Creative thinker who challenges conventional solutions

  • Financial Oversight: Participate in routine P&L evaluations, ensuring budget adherence. Develop and execute programs for optimal equipment utilization, maintenance, and cost management.

  • Regulatory Interaction: Engage with local, county, state, and federal agencies to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and permit conditions.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience: bachelor’s degree preferred or demonstrated record of serving in an operational environment requiring leadership, management, and analytical skills.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in the waste or landfill industry or equivalent combination of required education and experience.

  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience overseeing teams in landfill, construction, or environmental sectors.

  • Willingness to Relocate: A readiness to relocate for upcoming promotional prospects.

Salary: $110,000-$120,000 Annually

Bonus: 0-10%
