· 3+ years professional experience in technical theater

· 2-3 years professional experience working with artists of varied disciplines

Additional Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in technical theater preferred or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience

· Demonstrated knowledge of the practical applications of theatrical equipment, including electrical, audio-visual, and rigging systems

· Working knowledge of Office 360 or related, CAD (AutoCAD/Vectorworks)

· Previous experience in a University setting

· Valid driver's license

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Willingness to work flexible and irregular hours, sometimes for extended periods of time

· Familiarity with ETC control consoles/equipment

· Familiarity with theatrical computer applications (QLab, Adobe Creative Suite, Sound/Film editing software)

· Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds

· Maintaining a safe environment for faculty, artists, staff, students, visitors, and audiences by employing current health and safety standards

· Assisting with the technical design, construction, installation and implementation of production elements

· Supporting visiting artists during production-related activities including, but not limited to, production meetings, technical rehearsals, builds, load-ins, strikes, guest lectures, conferences, and special events

· Providing training to students in accordance with TDM Health and Safety Training policies/procedures

· Supporting technical rehearsals with oversight and supervision

· Ensuring proper maintenance of all TDM facilities and equipment to industry standards

· Helping to manage inventory records and purchasing requests

· Supporting classroom technology needs

· Participates in capital improvements, including research and implementation

· Performs other functions as required in the support of theater, dance, and media-based activities on campus

Harvard's concentration in Theater, Dance & Media (TDM) seeks a new staff member for the concentration production team. The position assists the Production Manager and production staff in administering concentration technical theater policies, while providing TDM courses, concentration productions, and student thesis productions with technical support.
