    Job Description

PROGRAM AND DATA COORDINATOR, Center for International Studies-MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) (https://misti.mit.edu/) , to coordinate the MISTI Global Seed Funds program and administer and develop MISTI databases. Principal duties developing internal policies and business methods and driving continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of the program; managing the annual meetings of the program’s advisory committee; managing the program budget and drafting budget requests and program reports; meeting regularly with staff to standardize management of funds and grants and ensure communication of policies, practices, and deadlines; collaborating with communications team to announce annual call for proposals and developing and assessing marketing strategies; website maintenance; collaborating on creating and/or implementing changes to fund applications; processing applications to ensure data integrity; creating application review booklets; designing and editing data reports; coordinating and executing transfer of archival data to FileMaker; and designing and implementing program assessment tools. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S.; at least two years’ experience in program administration and support; interest in the field of international education and/or cross-cultural communication; excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; discretion and good judgment with confidential information; proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database tools, application management software, and learning management and application management systems; and willingness to learn new software/systems/skills as needed. Must be able to follow through on tasks with moderate supervision; work independently and as part of a team; and interact effectively with a diverse group of faculty, students, staff, and corporate sponsors. PREFERRED: familiarity with MIT financial procedures, FileMaker, SurveyMonkey Apply, Terra Dotta, and Airtable; and interest in international education.
