Insight Global REMOTE - QA Automation Engineer (UI Team) in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Job Description
An employer is seeking an Automation Engineer to join a large technology company. This candidate will be joining the home security branch to automate manual workflows and handle automation testing for new products and features. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using Java and Appium framework to ensure the quality and reliability of our mobile applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address testing needs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Java and Appium for mobile app testing
Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and libraries
Identify opportunities to expand test automation coverage and improve testing efficiency
Analyze test results, diagnose issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects
$35/hour to $40/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
2-4 years of experience in software testing and test automation
Proficient in Java programming and Appium framework for mobile app testing
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment * Experience in testing mobile apps on both Android and iOS
Familiarity with AWS cloud-based testing platform.
