Shire US Alpha 1 Marketing in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Senior Manager, U.S. Immunology Marketing will be responsible for developing and leading key components of the Alpha 1 Marketing Plan.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities

Must adhere to Shire Corporate Responsibility at all times and through out all aspects of the role.

  • Work closely with the members from Alpha 1 Sales and Marketing team as well as Head of Alpha 1 marketing to ensure marketing plans align with Immunology franchise strategies

  • Oversee the development and implementation of key marketing strategies, tactics and messaging for on-going commercialization of Alpha 1 Product Portfolio

  • Act as day-to-day lead in the development and implementation of promotional materials, messaging, and programming

  • Experience in development and execution of multi-channel marketing programs (print, in-office, non-personal and digital)

  • Act as Shire lead in project management with agency partners including but not limited to consumer, digital, P2P patient programming, HCP, and Alpha Net and Patient Advocacy Organization.

  • Ensure all resources and programming are in alignment with Shire Compliance, Legal and Regulatory requirements

  • Work effectively with internal stakeholders including: Sales, Patient Services, Regulatory, and Legal/Compliance

  • Budget management

  • Attendance at professional & patient conferences

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science and / or business and 5 years of relevant brand experience (Marketing, Sales, Market Research, and Analytics). MBA is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience of working in a Marketing role within the Rare/Orphan disease space an advantage

  • Agency management experience (briefing/execution/budgetary oversight) preferred
