City of Cambridge, MD Police Officers (Entry-Level or Certified) in Cambridge, Maryland
The Cambridge Police Department is currently hiring for entry level and certified police officers. We are a police department who holds great pride in our professionalism and work ethic. The duties of entry level and certified officers are as follows: Officers will respond to, and handle calls for service to meet the needs of our community such as enforcing criminal law, local ordinances, enforcing traffic law, perform on-scene investigations, and maintaining a positive relationship with our community.
We are a Community-Oriented Policing agency and strive to work in partnership with our Community. The starting salary for entry level officers during training is $52,000.00 and increased to $56,000.00 after successful graduation from the Police Academy. Once completing the probationary period, the salary goes to $57,500. Salary for certified officers with experience is up to $61,690.
