Job Title: Welder & Fitter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder & Fitter to join our team. You will work in a designated welding station, read and interpret welding diagrams, and fit and weld structural steel sheets and tubes. You will perform MIG (GMAW) welding up to several feet in one weld with widths of 10-25mm depending on the job and your skill level. Additionally, you will grind down welds and operate various machines to form metal.

Accurately take measurements and convert units of measurement
Comfortable working in confined spaces (4-5ft diameter cylinder)

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Cambridge, Ontario.
Work Environment
You will work in a very large, well-organized, and maintained welding shop. The environment can be hot when it's hot outside, but there are lots of fans and large bay doors open for air circulation. The work culture is great; everyone is very approachable and willing to help. There are two shifts available: Day shift (MON - THURS: 6AM - 3PM, FRI: 6AM - 12PM) and Afternoon shift (MON - THURS: 3PM - 1:30AM). The pay starts at $23 - $25 per hour and can go up to $36 per hour. Overtime is offered after 40 hours, and there is double-time on Sundays. All overtime is optional.
