Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the International Student's Office. Reporting to the Assistant Dean/Director of International Students and Global Programs, the senior program coordinator provides individual and group advisement to undergraduate and graduate F-1/J-1 international students and certain J-1 exchange visitors on immigration matters as well as admission, enrollment, housing, personal/cultural adjustment, academic, financial, employment and other related matters. Key responsibilities also include management of our immigration database (SUNAPIS); the office website and technology based communications; monitoring regulatory changes affecting international students and scholars; providing educational/cultural programming and services for students, scholars, employees, and host departments; administering and evaluating the office's overall operation and programs; and oversight of the undergraduate and graduate student support staff.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree and two year's professional experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requires a bachelor's degree and two year's professional experience, knowledge and understanding of the following: federal visa and immigration laws and regulations or a body of similarly complex and relevant regulations. Also requires experience in a customer service, counseling support, program coordination, or administrative function that includes some of the following: resolving immigration and visa-related issues; conducting research, critical thinking and problem solving; exercising strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills; and computer literacy in word processing and database programs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required and essential. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required to qualify for federal agency certification as a "Designated School Official" (DSO) and Responsible Officer (RO).
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include: Masters degree in higher education, international education, public administration, international relations, foreign languages, or other field directly related to working with international students; experience utilizing SUNAPSIS software program; experience advising international students in an academic environment; experience living/working abroad; familiarity with F-1 and J-1 regulations, and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS); and/or experience working at a university; experience advising international students in an academic environment and experience living/working abroad .
Equipment Utilized
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (ie Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher). The incumbent will be required to use the SUNAPSIS software program to manage F and J non-immigrant records, the Student Records Database, SEVIS RealTime (RTI) and other campus database systems. Will be expected to use the internet to complete work responsibilities, develop and post social media content, and update departmental website.
