Job Title: Work Site Support Specialist

Location: Conway, MO

Job Summary: The Work Site Support Specialist is responsible for providing a work-based learning experience in a competitive integrated setting for eligible VR clients who are enrolled in high school. The Specialist will facilitate on-site support, lead classroom discussions using ODEP's soft skills curriculum, and develop employability skills in a real work environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate students' work-based learning experiences within the Pre-Employment Training program

  • Provide on-site support for students working 16 hours/week at worksites

  • Facilitate 4 hours/week of soft skills training using ODEP curriculum

  • Support student integration at worksites, mediate between co-workers as needed

  • Prepare plans, reports, and other paperwork as required

  • Obtain information on students through intake process with families/providers

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Preferably experience in employment services, job coaching, business, HR, or human services

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful background check

  • Complete new hire orientation

  • Complete all required trainings including annual Relias

  • Maintain CPR, First Aid, Blood-borne Pathogens certification

  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, current auto insurance

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk/hear

  • Frequently required to stand and walk

  • Occasionally required to sit

  • Vision abilities: Close/distance/peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus
