DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you are responsible for supervising inmates and maintaining proper security while ensuring work is performed under safe operating procedures. Duties include reading and interpreting gauges, meters, and sensing devices, as well as cleaning and maintaining equipment. Also, you provide heat and hot water for institutional needs by maintaining boiler operations, including generation of medium pressure steam.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM (rotating shifts and days off). This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirement:
