Description SUMMARY: Ensure all consumer loans are entered into the loan system and validated within department guidelines maintaining accuracy and department controls. Duties also include serving as the first point of contact for retail branches relating to customer issues or questions researching, processing and/or correcting and communicating results either directly to customer or branch personnel. Process daily payments received through mail via branch capture identifying exceptions and maintaining proof documents for required time period. Accurately maintain loan vault documents in a secured and organized manner including those sent for off-site retention and storage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately complete data entry of all consumer loan types including but not limited to residential mortgages, HELOCs, unsecured consumer loans, Instalines, closed end seconds, construction loans, indirect and direct car loans either manually or through the extract. Retrieve paper documents to review against extract or through origination system for data input and further validation. Ensure loans received for entry are balanced between funding and input, and that all GLs are appropriately credited or debited. Ensure key documentation is maintained including identification and system tracking of real estate loans in a flood area. Open, identify and process through branch capture all mail payments for all loan types including commercial loans received on a daily basis. Balance and maintain proof documents including check and coupon/statement copies for required 90 day period. Set up (data entry) of all ACH and AFTs received from branches for consumer loans. Serve as the primary contact with retail branches and customers for basic questions and resolution relating to loan payments, late charge waivers, interest calculations, billing notices and other normal routine information. Perform non-exception file maintenance and transactions including late charge waivers, payment change due dates, etc. Conduct SOX review for loans entered by other department staff to validate key financial, regulatory and compliance data, notifying management of trends/patterns related to issues from data input or origination staff. Maintain SOX documentation in accordance with department procedures. Ensure file maintenance performed is completed in accordance with source document, is valid and performed by staff with appropriate authority. Review documents to verify the Bank has a valid lien position for titled consumer loans for direct and indirect origination channels, updating tracking through system and notifying appropriate department if not received with the appropriate timeframe. Review electronic titles and review for daily incoming e-titles received. Using system-generated information, provide quotes and process payoffs for consumer car loans. Monitor department tickers. Review loans with low principal balance for potential payoff and notification to customer. Assist with preparation of satisfactions for paid in full loans. Monitor and maintain loan vault in an organized structured manner Complete all mandatory and elective training including BSA and Anti-Money Laundering procedures. Maintain compliance with all appropriate rules and regulations. Regular predictable attendance if an essential requirement of this position Complete all other duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED Minimum 3 years exposure to loan documents in a lending or loan servicing environment with ability to read and interpret loan documents. Knowledge and understanding of lending/servicing regulatory and compliance guidelines. Knowledge of lien titling including exposure to electronic title and UCCs required.
