Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly motivated HR leader to provide business partner support for part of United States business units (Operating Areas). The role reports to the VP - HR for US business units and supports business objectives, strategic goals and human resources initiatives.

You will be a trusted advisor to colleagues and business leaders, including several executives, regarding HR policies and drive processes to optimize employee engagement and productivity. The position will liaison with the HR centers of excellence (COEs): Total Rewards, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Colleague Services, along with the other HRBPs to provide and develop world class HR programs, processes, and strategic initiatives that drive long term business results. The successful candidate will be a forward-looking HR practitioner, self-motivated leader, and a change agent.

On a typical day you will:

  • Partner with functional leaders & business partners for assigned Operating Areas and enable driving business results through execution of our people strategy.

  • Partner with Talent COE to provide input on learning needs to enable capability building within each career level/function

  • Be a key steward of talent, identify high potential talent and cultivate an environment promoting colleague development, leadership capability growth and succession planning.

  • Provide leaders and colleagues with coaching, consultation, and guidance on effective conflict resolution, performance management, colleague development and engagement.

  • Lead the US HRBPs and provide coaching and guidance to enable individual development

  • Partner with legal counsel, compliance, other internal stakeholders on performance management cases, ethics inquiries and investigations, and terminations.

  • Promote an inclusive and safe work environment that brings Otis leadership behaviors to life for all colleagues.

  • In addition to above responsibilities for the assigned Operating Area, lead execution of key HR programs and processes across US business units, such as annual compensation planning, performance connections, engagement surveys etc.

  • Lead HR projects and initiatives across US business units in partnership with HR COEs and other HRBPs.

  • Analyze HR processes across US business units to identify, recommend and implement opportunities for improvement in collaboration with other HRBPs/ COEs.

  • Own HR dashboard for US business units (such as monthly diversity/attrition) to provide meaningful insights and execute process improvements.

What You Will Need to be Successful :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field, supplemented by 10+ years of HRBP experience in a diverse, fast-aced, multi-state environment.

  • Master’s degree in HR/ Business or related field preferred, supplemented by 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of people management experience

  • Prior experience supporting a service or sales-oriented business.

  • Prior experience supporting a client group >500 employees/>$500M revenue in size in an HR Business Partner capacity; prefer candidates that have supported a dispersed workforce across multiple locations

  • The location of this role is flexible and there is opportunity for this role to be remote. This role supports a dispersed employee population in multiple time zones; in addition to leveraging collaboration tools and communications/video-conferencing apps, travel is required approximately 30% of the time.

  • Experience in coaching employees and managers, facilitating training and developing and implementing HR programs and projects.

  • Solid organizational and project management skills with ability to develop and execute multiple end-to-end programs concurrently and with little oversight.

  • Data driven decision maker with ability to mine complex information, draw conclusions independently and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and build strong partnerships with diverse and cross functional teams.

  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities on a daily basis and with precision.

The salary range for this role is $155,000 - $205,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
