Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Carlsbad, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Carlsbad, California. The successful candidate will join our manufacturing team and play a crucial role in managing our accounts payable processes. This position requires someone with experience in account reconciliation, invoice processing, check runs, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage MAS 90.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update open purchase orders (POs) files.
• Match receivers with invoices and enter all Accounts Payable and Receipt of Invoice in Sage MAS90.
• Prepare cash requirements for regular check runs and manage online payments through vendor sites.
• Ensure credit cards are paid online in a timely manner.
• Maintain vendor information in Sage MAS 90 and prepare Form 1099 tax forms.
• Manage petty cash, balance, disburse and replenish as necessary.
• Handle special projects as assigned by the Controller.
• Conduct recurring Accounts Payable and General Ledger tasks monthly.
• Receive and address all phone calls from vendors requiring payment information and handle related issues.
• Ensure 3-way matching process for invoices, purchase orders, and receipt reports. Requirements
• Candidate must possess skills in Account Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Experience in Check Runs is mandatory
• Familiarity with Coding Invoices is necessary
• Proficient in Data Entry
• Experience in Invoice Processing is essential
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel is expected
• Proficiency in MAS 90 is preferred
• Skill in 3 Way Matching is required
• Knowledgeable in Form 1099
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is beneficial
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency is expected
• Understanding of basic accounting principles is necessary
• Relevant certification or degree in finance, accounting, or similar field is preferred
