Legrand has an exciting opportunity for anElectrical Engineer Internto join theBuilding Control Systems WattStopper Teamin Carlsbad, CA.The successful candidate will be working as part of a design team where members are involved with product development, evaluation and product design validation, specification and design reviews, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production.

What Will You Do?

  • Working closely with the Engineering Team Leaders to be a contributor for various R&D Projects.

  • Embedded firmware development.

  • Python based Automation Test script development.

  • Generation and presentation of Test Reports.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably at Junior or Senior level.

    Experience:

  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail, and meeting management software. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.

  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team. Fosters open communication and support an environment of innovation and creative change.

  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines, and manage several tasks at various stages of development.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • C Programming Language.

  • Python Programming Language.

  • Ability to read a Schematic Design.

  • Experience with Linux and Visual Studio Code a plus.

  • Experience with command line tools forGNU gcc (https://gcc.gnu.org/) compiler a plus.

  • Experience with Source Control tools like Git a plus.

  • Experience with Real Time Operating Systems a plus.

    Pay:$22.00/hr.
