Robert Half Operations Specialist in Carlsbad, California
Description We are in search of an Operations Specialist to join our team in Carlsbad, California. In this role, you will be involved in various logistics activities, maintaining communication with shipment agents, and ensuring efficient shipment processes. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various team members to streamline daily logistics activities.
• Initiate and maintain communication with shipment agents to confirm and verify shipment details.
• Utilize tracking systems and tools to monitor the progress of shipments and address any delays or issues promptly.
• Organize and manage the setup and dispatch of shipments, including scheduling pickups, arranging transportation, and preparing shipment documentation.
• Frequently communicate with agents, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are informed and any potential issues are resolved quickly.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and CRM to maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Use IBM AS/400 for processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all shipment-related regulations and standards.
• Provide superior customer service by resolving customer inquiries promptly.
• Maintain efficient office functions and documentation procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is necessary
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of About Time software
• Understanding of compliance requirements in operations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to create and maintain documentation
• Experience with office functions and administrative tasks
• Management System expertise is required
