MISO Energy Planning Engineer in Carmel, Indiana
Location: Carmel, IN; Eagan, MN, or Little Rock, AR

As our Planning Engineer , you will have the opportunity to conduct power system analysis studies that support MISO’s generation interconnection and retirement processes. Additionally, you will coordinate and interact with interconnection customers and transmission owners, engage in process improvement initiatives, and project management, and take ownership of specific processes.
Within your first year as our Planning Engineer , you will know you are successful if you:
Administer simulations and technical analyses effectively without daily oversight.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one of our study processes.
Prepare and deliver relevant communications and data to our customers.
Make significant contributions to our already highly functional team.
Our Planning Engineer requires:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or electronics and computer engineering technology, or related field.
At least two (2) years’ experience related power system planning, operations experience, or related field.
While not required, it would be advantageous to possess:
Specific experience within any of the following: PSS/E, MUST, TARA, TSAT, and VSAT.
Previous energy industry experience.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
