Actalent Traveling Superintendent in Carmel, Indiana
Traveling Superintendent - Based out of Indiana / Ohio
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Superintendent to join our team on a salary basis for a multifamily project starting in mid-July in West Virginia. As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing subcontractors across multiple scopes on exterior renovation projects, including the proprietary waterproofing techniques that you will be trained on. The project is expected to run until the end of the year, with future opportunities across multiple states (IN, OH, MI, FL, IA, NC). Your ability to oversee multiple scopes and maintain or improve margins will directly impact your yearly bonus, earned on a per-project basis.
Expect to work Monday through Friday onsite, with potential for extended hours from Sun-Up to Sun-Down if the project is behind schedule. Travel is a key part of this role, as the company's geographic footprint extends from MI to FL and IA to NC.
Job Responsibilities:
Managing Subcontractors across a variety of Trades, Disciplines, and/or Project Types.
Learning and Implementing New Techniques to adapt to Company Standards and Clients' Needs.
Managing Siding, Handling Waterproofing Systems, and Overseeing Balcony/Deck Construction.
Overseeing Roofing Projects, including Asphalt Shingles and Metal Roofing.
Supervising Window, Patio Door, and Entry Door Installation.
Ensuring Safety and Quality Standards are met Onsite.
Job Requirements:
Active OSHA 10 Certification
Ability to Travel for 2 Weeks Consecutively
Ability to Read Construction Drawings and Blueprints
3+ Years of Experience as a Superintendent on Multifamily Exterior Projects
3+ Years of Experience Overseeing Each of the Following Types of Projects:
Roofing Projects for both Asphalt Shingles and Metal
Installing Fiber Cement or Vinyl Lap Siding
Installing Water Proofing Systems; Flashing; and Water Mitigation
Installing Balconies and Decks
Basic Knowledge of Type V and III Wood Framed Buildings
Basic Knowledge of MEP Building Systems
Preferred Experience (not required):
Degree in Construction Management
Framing Punch and Framing Experience
Active OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with Procore
Bilingual in Spanish
Compensation:
Salary position of $80,000/year (less than 5 years of experience) to $100,000/year (over 5+ years experience).
Company books Lodging/Hotels for Travel, and will select only good-quality hotels or long-term stay AirBnb's. Employees can use their own Rewards Program if they want to earn points. Employees also receive $35 per diem for incidentals.
Employees receive a Vehicle Stipend of $500 per month for Trucks that are: Less than 7 Years; Less than 200k Miles; and Clean of Decals or Rust. Fuel Card provided.
Employees participate in a Bonus Program that builds upon each completed project-worked. The higher the scopes, the higher the bonus potential. If you improve margins by minimizing material waste, you increase your bonus percentage.
