PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Must hold a New Jersey Board of Examiners Electrical Contractors License and must maintain certification / license.

Performs skilled technical electrical duties to operate, regulate, maintain and repair: critical equipment such as generator, UPS and switchgear, lighting, heating and air conditioning systems, air compressors and associated equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Such as but not limited to minor electrical repairs, install and remove system furniture components, minor carpentry & painting. Individual may have to work in lower job classification at times. A copy of your New Jersey Board of Examiners Electrical Contractors License must be included along with your resume and/or application in order to be considered for this position

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1 Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with local and national

electrical codes.

2 Conduct troubleshooting, identify issues, and provide effective solutions for electrical systems. -

3 Experience demonstrating skill maintaining, repairing, and installing lighting, ballasts, and

occupancy sensors.

4 Experience demonstrating skill interpreting and applying instructions, specifications and

procedures (for example vendor reference material, OEM manuals, etc.).

5 Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. -

6 Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects. -

7 Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. -

8 Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. -

9 Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and job sites. -

10 Ability and willingness to perform emergency and/or lower classified work as assigned. -

11 Ability and willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor tasks for extended periods of time (for

example, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working in rigging, bending,

twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, and squatting).

12 Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic platforms at

varying heights.

13 Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including all weather conditions,

at extreme heights, on or around energized electrical equipment, alone in remote areas, in

confined spaces or enclosed vessels, and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal

Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., example safety glasses, di-electric safety shoes, electrically

insulated rubber gloves and sleeves, hard hat, fall protection harness.)

14 Ability and willingness to wear an issued uniform and carry equipment. -

15 Ability and willingness to work on holidays, weekends, overtime and shift work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years Commercial/Residential Electrical experience.

· Hold a current New Jersey Board of Examiners Electrical Contractors License and must maintain certification /

license.

· A copy of your New Jersey Board of Examiners Electrical Contractors License must be included along with your

resume and/or application in order to be considered for this position.

· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

· Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of a 7-year criminal records check for

felony convictions.

· Must successfully pass a Medical Screening to include a Drug Test.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on the incumbent every

seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC compliance training.

· Experience demonstrating skill operating Building Automation Systems and controls.

· Experience demonstrating skill with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

· Experience demonstrating skill installing and troubleshooting HVAC system electrical components.

· Experience demonstrating skill installing and maintaining voice, data and/or other low-voltage cabling systems.
