Trans Ash Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Plant Wansley) in Carrollton, Georgia

Founded in 1960, Trans Ash is a rapidly growing civil land construction & environmental company. This full-time position is based in Plant Wansley in Carrollton, GA.

Job Summary

Maintain and repair construction vehicles, heavy equipment, and class A road trucks.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills are required.

  • Knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, engine, transmission, and AC systems.

  • Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects.

  • Read and understand repair, operators, and troubleshooting manuals and schematics.

  • Must fabricate and weld.

  • May perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Training Requirements:

  • Trans Ash will provide the necessary safety training for the job.

Experience:

  • Must have 5-10 years of experience.

Other information:

  • Must have own tools.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, operate vehicles and small equipment.

  • Must be able to work in a construction environment.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
