MetLife Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in Cary, North Carolina
Duties: Design, develop, implement and maintain solutions, based on a set of standards and processes that establish consistency across the enterprise, data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization’s and the business goals and objectives. Collaborate with the Scrum Lead, Product Owner and ART Leadership and lead the collection and documentation of user requirements. Analyze, design, and drive solutions for significant components and features, implement enterprise caliber web, mobile and backend solutions to ensure secure, high code quality across the entire team, and investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests. Interface with key stakeholders and business leaders. Work with cross functional teams for delivery. Mentor software engineers.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience designing and developing software applications using Java/J2EE, Java Script and SQL. Specific skills/other requirements: developing RESTful API services using Java frameworks, including Spring MVC and Spring Boot (5 years); implementing and customizing PMACS product for sales compensation process (3 years); developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub or Azure in DevOps environment (3 years); developing cloud native applications using Azure services (3 years); and developing Microservices and hosting containerized environments using Docker or Azure Kubernetes (3 years).
