We are currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with a \$181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines.

With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion, the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products, and the expansion will further develop our capabilities.

SUMMARY:

This location runs around the clock operations and flexes between production and sanitation as needed to achieve order fulfillment and achieve the highest food safety standards. The Sanitation/Production Supervisor directs and supervises the cleaning of the plant production equipment and facility to meet food safety requirements as required by federal, state and local regulations, as well as by USDA and FDA regulations to meet customer quality and safety standards. Ensures employees follow Company policies and procedures. Ensures sanitation and department efficiencies are maintained at or above standards. Supports the commitment and continual improvement to Food Safety and Quality programs.

When the Sanitation/Production Supervisor is not overseeing Sanitation Team members you would oversee Production Team members to fill production orders while maintaining high production, quality, and yields performance. M most importantly ensuring the safest working environment possible for our team members. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You\'ll build the best team possible. That includes Hiring, training, Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems as well as educating your team on benefits, compensations, and company policies. You\'ll guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.
  • Promoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings
  • Day-to-day sanitation of equipment and facility or Production management as needed.
  • Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Develops and documents cleaning procedures i.e. SSOP\'s, cleaning logs, etc.
  • Train and document all sanitation workers for the safe operation and disassembly of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety rules and standards including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure food safety and quality control specifications are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all company GMPs.
  • Help develop, maintain, and comply with Master Sanitat on Schedule.
  • Systematically develop clear and well-defined cleaning procedures for all equipment and facility areas.
  • Work closely with management and chemical suppliers on chemical and process changes to improve sanitation results and reduce costs.
  • Protect product during sanitation.
  • Supervise motivate and train sanitation production workers.
  • Coordinate sanitation and production items for the plant.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance on all sanitation issues concerning production new products special runs etc.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance on any set-up of Packaging equipment.
