SUMMARY
Responsible and serves as the functional expert for all manufacturing related systems and tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Executes effective mold changes in support of manufacturing schedule. / Ejecutar cambios de moldes de acuerdo al itinerario de manufactura.
• Executes mold installation following applicable Rapid Tool Change (RTC) and SAFETY procedures. / Ejecutar instalacin de moldes siguiendo las reglas de cambios de moldes (RTC) y seguridad.
• Responsible to perform the mold start-up process / Responsable de ejecutar el start-up de los procesos.
• Assures that all necessary secondary equipment is available, calibrated, and operational as required by set-up specifications. / Asegurar que todos los equipos secundarios estn disponibles, calibrados y operacionales segn es requerido por las especificaciones.
• Validate documentation for each mold updated, including: set-up procedure, mold water diagram, road map, electrical diagram, process parameters, and list of correct dryers, mold heaters, automatic inspection equipment, conveyors, robots and any special equipment required to run the mold. Informs his supervisor if practice is not aligned with documentation. / Validar que toda la documentacin de cada molde est al da, incluyendo, procedimientos de Set-up, diagrama hidrulico, diagrama elctrico, hoja de parmetros, hoja de plan de cavidades, la utilizacin de los secadores correctos, calentadores de moldes, inspeccin automtica de equipos, transportadores, robot y cualquier otro equipo especializado requerido para correr el molde. Informar al supervisor si la prctica no est alineada a la documentacin.
• Own and update the Job Setup reporting current cycle time, activated cavities and numbers of operators on SAP system. / Es dueo y actualiza el Job Setup reportando en SAP los nmeros actuales de ciclos, cavidades activadas y nmero de operadores.
• Documents Mold Inspection and Repair Record (MIRR) using clear and detailed problems description and deliver samples to tool room personnel to correct tooling related problems. / Documenta en la hoja de MIRR usando descripcin clara y detallada del problema y enva muestras de todas las cavidades al equipo de tooling para correccin de problemas escritos en el mismo.
• Documents and solve maintenance and/or facilities issue to support machine keeps running. / Documenta y/o resuelve problemas de mantenimiento y/o facilidades para mantener las mquinas corriendo.
• Must be available to support any plant based on company needs. / Debe estar dispuesto a trabajar en cualquier planta, segn la necesidad del negocio.
• May be required to directly supervises operators, material handlers and responsible for the administrative supervision of in-process inspectors. / Requiere supervisin directa de los operadores, acarreadores de materiales e inspectores de calidad.
• Coordinates and directs activities within assigned plant within the shift assigned to maintain the quality and quantity of work produced in compliance with all applicable requirements, policies, and procedures. / Coordina y dirige las actividades de la planta en su turno designado para mantener la calidad y la cantidad de trabajo producido en cumplimiento con todos los requerimientos, polticas y procedimientos.
• Coordinates activities (related to molds) of plant shutdowns and start-up. / Coordina las actividades relacionadas a moldes y mquinas para detener y comenzar las operaciones.
• Reports daily at the end of SAP shift, the status of all molds that are running or scheduled to run. / Reporta diariamente al final del turno designado por SAP, el estatus de los moldes que estn corriendo o estn en itinerario para correr.
• Assures that all company and regulatory policies, rules, and procedures are complied with at all times. / Asegura que las polticas de la compaa, regulaciones, reglas, y procedimientos estn en cumplimiento.
• Supports and supervises compliance with Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices, Pest Control, 6s and proper forklift equipment operation during his shift of operation. / Apoya y supervisa el cumplimiento de las buenas prcticas de manufactura y las buenas prcticas de documentacin, control de plagas, 6s y operacin de montacargas durante su turno.
• Must be available to work during the regular week, weekends, and / or holidays as required by manufacturing schedules. / Debe estar disponible para trabajar durante la semana, fines de semana y/o das feriados requeridos por el itinerario de manufactura.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. Otras tareas segn asignadas por Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Associate degree in a technical area or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the Injection Molding Industry or equivalent education.
• Formal training in SAP, GDP, GMP, ISO 13485, safety and quality.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
