The belly dump driver operates a truck equipped with bottom discharge trailer to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock or paving materials.

We're looking for belly dump drivers to deliver materials to job sites in a safe and efficient manner. What does the job entail?

• Accurate loading and unloading of asphalt and rock materials
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations
• Access off road construction sites, and safely maneuver truck where needed.
• Perform pre and post safety checklists on truck prior to and following hauling.
• Obtain ticket signed by customer and leave customer a copy.
• Provide customer service to clients.
• Maintain a commercial driver's license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card.
• Maintain insurable driving record.
• Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
• Strong process/procedure orientation;
• Effective written and verbal communication/comprehension skills;
• Strong team and customer service skills;
• Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment;
• Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision;
• Other duties as assigned.

Here's what we require

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Clean MVR
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Class A CDL with airbrakes an doubles endorsement;
• Current DOT Physical;
• 1 year experience driving doubles or LCV (longer combination vehicle) required
• Track record of safety-conscious performance.
• Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity;
• Varied working conditions, sometimes in extreme climates. Prolonged hours spent sitting (driving) in truck cab.
