Description
Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level Accountant with a highly successful organization in the Non-Profit industry. To be successful at this Accountant position, you should be someone who creates spreadsheets in your sleep, and looking to find your place in the accounting field. This role is responsible for reviewing financial statements with a heavy data entry component. An Excel enthusiast interested in spreadsheet creation and manipulation will thrive in this entry-level position. This opportunity is for a long-term contract / temporary entry-level Accountant position and is located in Cedar Rapids Iowa
Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
Prepare monthly journal entries
Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
Data entry
Investigating and fixing account discrepancies
Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit
Aiding in full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Requirements
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Great attention to detail
Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on a number of different projects and tasks
Employer requires 1 year of accounting experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Command of data entry
Deep understanding of Full Cycle Accounting
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
