About this role
As an Associate Field Controls Engineer , you will be crucial to ALC ’s business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each customer. We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused. This position is your first introduction to the career of an Associate Field Controls Engineer . You will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills, projects will advance in difficulty to develop your skills.
The Associate Field Controls Engineer must be able to travel to clients 35% of the time in the Aspen area in Colorado .
Key Responsibilities
Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
Offer effective solutions for system issues.
Provide turnkey project delivery on small to mid-level projects.
Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
Load software, and configure trends, alarms, and reports.
Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Valid and current driver’s license can be insurable by the company’s insurance.
Able for scheduled travel 35% of the time in the Aspen CO area.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
Experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
Experience with building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.

Pay Range:
$51,875 - $72,625 Annually
