Job Overview & Responsibilities

As a member of the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) organization, the Electrical Engineer 2 has a diverse skillset spanning areas of Radio Frequency (RF), Communication Systems, Instrumentation Systems, Power and Controls, and general EGSE. Responsibilities include:

Support the design of DCcontrol systems for Atlas and Vulcan launch vehicles, vehicles as well as the Ground Electrical Instrumentation System (Data Acquisition System and transducer interfacing). Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems. Interface with counterparts in procurement, logistics, testing, engineering functions and operations as needed. Selection of hardware, reviewing and editing complex engineering drawings, parts lists, test procedures and schematics, wire list creation, basic cable design and layout, and harness design/modeling. Directly support launching the Atlas and Vulcan vehicles to become an expert in a specific subsystem.

Required Education Bachelor

Required Years of Experience Minimum of 2 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university. Demonstrated understanding of electrical component selection and implementation. Demonstrated experience with circuit level testing and troubleshooting. Demonstrated experience with implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and circuits. Experience reviewing, editing, and providing feedback on engineering drawings, parts lists, test procedures, and schematics Demonstrated ability to integrate COTS hardware into system level designs. Demonstrated technical knowledge of grounding/bonding principles and practices. Demonstrated understanding of cable design and layout, harness design and modeling, and schematics. Experience with CAD tools such as NX, Teamcenter, Zuken.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university. Masters degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Experience with redundant command/control circuits, Communication Systems (Network, Optical, IRIG, RS232/485, etc.), project management, JIRA, Confluence, and hardware selection and procurement. Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denveronly): $80,292.00 - $125,404.00
